OKC is grateful for the support of many local organizations, businesses, and individuals that helped bring this pollinator garden project to life!
Special thanks to the Oxford Community Center (OKC home base for more than 30 years!) for allowing campers to install the garden onsite and a contribution toward project expenses.
Mark Eppard and crew from Bartlett Tree Experts ground down 2 large stumps to help prep the garden site.
The Town of Oxford built and donated 2 raised beds and fill dirt for the garden.
Healthy native plants from Adkins Arboretum (50% discount) are planted throughout the garden. Special thanks to Nursery Manager, Joanne Healey, for consulting on plant choices and garden design.
A yard of ‘yummy’ mushroom compost was donated by Yard Works Plus to help make our garden grow.
The pollinator garden includes an original Oxford dinghy, donated by Brewer’s Oxford Boatyard and Marine, converted into a lovely garden bed.
Special thanks to Ed Thieler for building the native bee house!
Many more thanks to those that helped prep/plan/advocate for the garden, or provided fun (and informative!) camp activities related to the pollinator garden project!
